This morning we had seashells in the pool. We starting talking about things we like to do at the beach. During morning circle we talked about how many days of school are left....only 2 more! We discussed fun things we will be doing the rest of the week. The kids also practiced their favorite songs to share with mommies and daddies on Thursday.
We read the story "Hello Ocean" by Hola Mar. The book described a family's trip to the beach. The story describes the beach using our five senses. After reading the story the kids shares experiences they have had at the beach.
Then it was time to head down to the park. First, the kids played on the big playground. Then it was time to eat lunch. We found a big tree with lots of shade to sit under. After lunch we had an extra special treat....popsicles! Once we cleaned up from lunch the kids flew kites, played with the parachute, or played catch. It was wonderful to have fun with the kids!
Tomorrow will be another fun day. Ms. Abby will be here and we will have field day! We also have an extra cool art project planned for tomorrow!
